What this does

Settings → Mobile Devices pairs a phone running the LogMyRepair.app scanner to your shop so it can upload scans (receipts, bills, statements) straight into Documents without a login on the phone. Each device gets its own token, scoped to this shop, and can be cut off individually.

Before you start

settings.integrations (Owner, General Manager) to pair or revoke. The scanner app installed on the phone.

Steps

Pair a device. Enter a Device name (e.g. Kenneth's iPhone) and pair. A QR code appears once. Open the scanner app on the phone and scan it. The code is shown a single time and is never stored; close the dialog without scanning and you pair again for a new one. The device then appears in the list with Paired date, Last Seen, and Status.

Revoke a device that's lost, replaced, or belongs to someone who left. Its uploads are refused from that moment. Pair the replacement as a new device.

How it works

The token lives only on the phone; the shop keeps a hash of it. Every upload from the phone is checked against the shop's active devices, so a revoked phone can't upload even if it still has the app.

Common problems

"Code expired — pair again." The QR wasn't scanned in time. Pair again for a fresh code.

The phone says it's paired but uploads don't arrive. Check the device's Status on this page; a revoked device shows inactive. Pair it again.

Last Seen is blank. The phone has never uploaded. Scan something.
