PartsTech
Updated September 23, 2026
What this does
PartsTech is the parts catalog and ordering network your suppliers list on. Connected, the work order's parts lines can search PartsTech by vehicle, show your suppliers' prices and availability, and place the order. The card on Settings → Integrations holds the credentials.
Before you start
settings.integrations. A PartsTech account with API access; the PartsTech username and API key come from PartsTech, not from LogMyRepair.app.
Steps
Enter the username and key, save ("Saved — test the connection to activate"), then test. A successful test marks the connection active and records when it was validated. The key is stored server-side and never shown again; the card shows only its last characters. Entering a new key clears the validation until you test again.
Common problems
Test fails. Wrong username or key, or the PartsTech account doesn't have API access enabled. Check with PartsTech; nothing on this side caches a bad key.
Parts search doesn't appear on the work order. The connection was saved but not tested. Test it.
Prices differ from the PartsTech site. The app shows what PartsTech returns for your account at that moment; supplier pricing changes.
