What this does

Everything in LogMyRepair.app hangs off the left sidebar. It is grouped by job, not by feature, and it only shows what your role can open. This article is the map.

The sidebar

Dashboard — your landing page. Managers see shop performance; writers and technicians see their own boards (below).

Sales — AI Estimate, Estimates, Work Orders, Invoices, Schedule, Messages, Declined Services. The counter.

Customers & Assets — Customers, Assets (your vehicles, devices, or aircraft), Fleets.

Tools — Service labels and other utilities.

Service Board — Shop Floor, Inspections, Diagnostics. The technicians' view of the day.

Inventory — Inventory, Parts Orders.

Accounting — its own dashboard, then Documents & Intelligence (Transaction Inbox, Bulk Apply Deposits, Documents, Exceptions), Money In, Money Out, Banking, Ledger, Reports, Vendors, Sales Tax. Only roles with accounting access see this group at all.

Settings — grouped into General, Team & Roles, Shop Operations, Communications, Documents, and Account.

The three dashboards

Which dashboard you get depends on your role.

The manager dashboard (Owner, General Manager, Service Manager) shows revenue and activity for the shop.

The writer dashboard (Service Writer, Office Manager, and managers) shows today's entries, the week, and weekly revenue: the counter's view of what's open and what's due.

The technician dashboard (all technicians, and managers) shows the work orders assigned to you and your clock. Managers and Service Managers also get a team view of every technician's queue.

The shop picker

If you belong to more than one shop, the shop name at the top of the sidebar is a picker. Every address in the app includes the shop slug, so a bookmarked page always opens in the shop it was bookmarked from.

Trimming the menu

Menu Preferences (from your profile menu) lets you hide sidebar items you never use. Hiding an item does not remove your access; it only shortens the list. Owners and General Managers can also reorder the sidebar for the whole shop under Settings → Navigation.

Common problems

A section from this manual isn't in my sidebar. Either your role doesn't include it or it's hidden in Menu Preferences. Check Menu Preferences first; then ask your manager about the role.

I'm in the wrong shop. Use the shop picker at the top of the sidebar. Check the slug in the address bar if you're unsure which shop you're looking at.
