Switching from TRACS to MechFlow
Moving your shop's data from one system to another sounds daunting. Years of customer records, vehicle history, and financial data — you can't afford to lose any of it.
We've built MechFlow's migration process to make switching as painless as possible.
What Gets Migrated
- Customers: All contact information, notes, and preferences
- Vehicles: VIN, year/make/model, mileage history
- Work order history: Your complete service history, linked to customers and vehicles
- Inventory: Part numbers, quantities, costs, and vendor info
How It Works
- Export from TRACS: Export your data using TRACS's built-in export tools
- Upload to MechFlow: Use our import wizard to upload your data files
- Review & map fields: Our system automatically maps most fields — you just confirm
- Import: Hit import and your data flows into MechFlow
- Verify: Spot-check a few customers and vehicles to confirm everything transferred
Tips for a Smooth Transition
- Run both systems in parallel for 1-2 weeks before fully switching
- Start new work orders in MechFlow while keeping TRACS as reference for history
- Train your team on MechFlow during slower hours — the learning curve is minimal
- Reach out to support if you hit any issues — we've helped many shops through this process
